Our cottage is located inside the region of Los Pedroches, where we find an area of extensive meadows of holm oak and ecological olive groves, there Iberian pigs are raised with appellation of origin "Los Pedroches", there is also a large number of farm of dairy cows.
Olive trees around our cottage have been the first to take ecological certification throughout Europe and our olive oil is appreciated in the worldwide as an authentic delicatessen.

Our 17 villages have a peculiarity and this is that Los Pedroches belonging to Andalusia , these are borderline to the regions of La Mancha and Extremadura, so in this way there are characteristics of the three regions.
These characteristics are found mainly in culture, and in agricultural practices.
There is a typical dance that is "la jota" , as well as an extensive songbook that was sung in the mountains of Sierra Morena when the olives were picked up.
As far as the cuisine is concerned , it is based on the derivatives of the pig, here is the Denomination of origin "Los Pedroches" for the Iberian pork ham that along with the lamb and rich cheeses will satisfy the palate of any visitor, in addition there is a great variety of pastries. To this must be added the excellent ecological olive oil produced in the olive trees groves of Sierra Morena.
The nature of Los Pedroches has been favored and graced by having different habitats and a great diversity of landscapes. Such as prairie and steppe areas where the cranes spend their winter, the extensive pastures where Iberian pigs, cows and sheep are fed and finally the ecological zones of olives trees, in the south of the region, in this area we usually find areas of pure Mediterranean forest such as those near our cottage.
Close to our house there are the charming villages, such as the town of Obejo with Muslim origin and also Villaharta and the towns in the area of "Los Pedroches", here there is a small historical heritage (notably the Castle Of Sotomayor), fifteenth century, in Belalcázar.

Notre région est attractive pour une myriade de raisons, nous avons le Parc Naturel de Cardeña-Montoro, il est la plus grande réserve de lynx ibérique en Espagne, le dernier endroit où cette espèce menacée vie.
Nos 17 villages sont uniques en ce que lorsque nous faisons frontière avec la zone de la Manche et de l'Estrémadure, cette area présent des caractéristiques de ces trois régions.
Dans notre région également il y a une cuisine délicieuse, dérivé du porc ibérique, avec appellation d'origine pour leurs jambons, nous avons aussi un excellent veau et l'agneau, et du bon fromage, et une huile organique extraite des oliveraies de la Sierra Morena.
Notre nature est très gracieux car ils ont des habitats différents, tels que la prairie et les zones de steppe où les grues se nourrissent en hiver. Il y a aussi des zones de forêt méditerranéenne pure, par exemple à proximité de notre gîte.
A proximité de notre maison se trouvent les charmantes villages de montagne, comme la ville de Obejo avec origine musulmane et aussi Villaharta et les villes dans la région de <<Los Pedroches>>, ici il y a un petit patrimoine historique (notamment le Château de Sotomayor), XVe siècle, en Belalcázar.
